Telling stories that inform, inspire and create change.

About Me
I’m Freya Webber, a freelance broadcast journalist and multimedia storyteller. Originally from South London and now based in Leeds, I bring a perspective shaped by both the North and South.
A First-class Journalism graduate from Leeds Trinity University, I work across broadcast, writing and digital media, creating engaging stories that connect audiences with the people, communities and perspectives behind the headlines.

Women's Rights Protest – London
These images were taken during a women's rights demonstration in Westminster. I wanted to capture not only the scale of the event but also the personal stories told through handmade signs, symbolic dress, and the determination of those taking part. My aim was to create images that document both the emotion and the importance of the moment.

Headingley Through Art and Photography
Inspired by Zac Rosso's paintings displayed in Beam Works, my favourite shop in Headingley, I set out to photograph the same locations from my own perspective. This project explores the relationship between painting and photography, comparing artistic interpretation with the real-life scene. My aim was to celebrate the beauty and character of Headingley while demonstrating how different creative mediums can tell the story of the same place.

In the Field
Photography is more than taking pictures-it's about exploring new places, meeting people, and finding stories worth sharing. These images offer a glimpse behind the scenes, showing me working on location and developing my skills throughout my time at university.
